Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lead Engineer in the installation and upgrade of heating systems.
- Assist in the assembly and fitting of components for heating equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all plumbing and heating installations.
- Participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of plumbing and heating system issues.
- Work closely with the Lead Engineer to execute project plans efficiently and within specified timelines.
- Independently handle plumbing tasks when assigned to jobs alone, including routine maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their heating system needs and address any concerns.
- Document work activities, including materials used and time spent on each project.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a plumber, with a focus on heating system installation and upgrades.
- Relevant certifications in plumbing and engineering.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the plumbing and heating industry.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job.
- Must have full UK Driving License with no more than 6 points.
Additional Information
The Assistant Plumber may occasionally be assigned to work independently on plumbing tasks. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to handle various projects and scenarios. Travel to different job locations within the specified area may be required. The successful candidate will be expected to represent professionally and ensure high-quality service delivery for the company.
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: £20,000 - £29,000 per year
Schedule:
10 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekend availability
Experience
Plumbing: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification
